Interview with our visa specialist: how applications are processed from A to Z
To give travelers a clearer idea of what happens after they submit their ETA or visa application, we spoke with one of our visa specialists. In this interview, they walk us through the entire process — from the moment an application arrives to the final approval.
Q: What happens first when a traveler submits their application?
A: The first step is collecting all the required details. Travelers complete a short form with their personal information, travel plans, and contact details. They also upload a photo of their passport and a recent photo of themselves. As soon as the application is submitted, our system securely stores it and our team begins the review.
Q: What does the review involve?
A: We carefully check that the details match the applicant’s passport and that the photos meet the required standards. Many rejections happen because of typos or unclear images, so our goal is to catch those issues before the application is officially submitted to UK authorities.
Q: How is the application submitted?
A: Once we verify everything is correct, we forward the application through the official channels. At that point, it enters the UK government’s system for processing.
Q: How long does processing usually take?
A: For an ETA, most cases are approved within 1–3 business days. Some are approved within hours, while others can take a little longer if additional checks are needed. For visa applications, the timeline is longer and depends on the type of visa, but we always keep applicants updated.
Q: How do travelers know when their application is approved?
A: The approval is sent electronically and linked to the applicant’s passport. We notify the traveler by email as soon as the decision is made, and they can travel with confidence knowing their ETA or visa is ready.
Q: What makes this process smooth for applicants?
A: The main advantage is that travelers don’t need to worry about paperwork or errors. They just provide their details and documents, and we take care of the rest. Our job is to make the experience simple, fast, and stress-free.
